Blog with Charles Butler

Well folks dooped again.  Someone promised poor and middle class Americans “Change and Hope” from their destitution in the richest country in the world.  I have watched for the last three months as Americans and the rest of the world fondly celebrated electing a Black American excuse me, African American to the highest office in the land, even though he had little to no experience governing or managing anything more than himself.

We have heard from Democrats and Republicans that the bill is a spending bill that will not create new jobs. The people in Washington do not seem to understand that there are not many good paying jobs available in the good old US of A.  The Republicans say tax credits will bring the economy back.  O.K. if you buy that argument then who is paying taxes if jobs and businesses are generating less revenue.  It doesn’t take a genius to know that a decrease in tax revenues is imminent regardless of the levy.  The Democrats will you that their tax rebate will put $300 back into the pockets of 90% of the people.  O.K. if buy that argument you know the money is gone the first week and there not any jobs to replace the income of those left unemployed without a hope of employment.

The American people still have the same old problem.  President Obama and the rest of Washington just “DON’T GET IT!”  Americans need good manufacturing jobs to maintain the middle class.  The effort to transform the U.S. into a service economy in the late 1970’s to the present was traitorous on the first order.  Good Old Boy Jimmy Carter and the succession of Presidents since wanted to provide the rest of the world to a better standard of living, and Democracy while destroying our great middle class.

President Obama campaigned on changing the trade agreements to be fairer to the American worker and to stop tax credits for companies creating jobs outside of America.  The reality is he has not mentioned trade agreements, reinstating tariffs and taxes, companies creating jobs overseas Un-American since he took office and the Stimulus Bill has been on the table.  Can he keep any of his campaign promises to us.

Those of you out there looking for change and hope please share with us where it is manifesting itself.  I just don’t see it!

Best, Charles

Here we go again.  We need to protect our children and our way of life from the liberal Democratic judicial team.  we need to be careful about the Democrats we elected to office and the adminstrators they bring to the party.  We have several nominees that have morals and values that will turn America on its head with the lack of decency.

“Take David Ogden. This past Thursday in U.S. Senate hearings, the man who has in private legal practice been one of the porn industry’s main advocates sounded like he was trying to edge out Phyllis Schlafly in his desire to protect children from smut and exploitation. Meanwhile, the porn industry calls his nomination
“refreshing.”

But facts are stubborn things. Ogden fought to remove porn filters from the Internet in public libraries. He argued that the law requiring producers of sexually explicit material to keep records about the
identity and ages of their performers was unconstitutional. He submitted a Supreme Court brief on behalf of the ACLU arguing that a man had been improperly convicted under the federal child pornography
statute because the man’s videotapes, “Little Girl Bottoms (Underside)” and “Little Blondes,” which the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit had found “clearly were designed to pander to pedophiles,” aren’t really pornography under the Constitution.”  Wendy Long- Washington Times, Feb. 10, 2009

“But the age of 14 is not too tender, according to Ogden, for girls to have abortions without telling their parents. Ogden explained away all of these positions. At one point, the legally sharp and scrupulously
fair Republican ranking member, Arlen Specter, cut off the fog machine blowing at the dais, saying “I consider that a non-answer, candidly.”Wendy Long- Washington Times, Feb. 10, 2009

Kagan will doubtless turn on the constitutional fog machine when asked why she booted military recruiters off the Harvard Law campus. She’s vehemently against the Pentagon’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy - again, one embraced by President Clinton - because it discriminates against homosexuals who want to be open about their sexual orientation while serving in the military. She calls the U.S. military’s policy ” a moral injustice of the first order.” Wonder if she’ll enforce the Defense of Marriage Act as Solicitor General.

The list of far-left extremists poised to take over the Justice Department goes on: Dawn Johnsen, nominated to serve as head of the Office of Legal Counsel, worked at NARAL and the ACLU. She opposes even modest regulation of abortion, such as partial-birth abortion bans and parental notification for teenagers. She’s argued that restrictions on abortion violate the Thirteenth Amendment, which banned slavery, because “forced pregnancy requires a woman to provide continuous physical service to the fetus in order to further the state’s asserted interest.” Thomas Perrelli, nominated to be Assistant Attorney General, worked with the Florida ACLU to cut off basic food and water to Terri Schiavo, causing her to die, and later expressed disdain for the American people making laws through elected representatives that undo the work of legal extremists and activist courts.

President Obama promised “change” but has so far only nominated a slew of far-left activists to the Justice Department. If this is the change he believes in, President Obama will lose the support of the sensible moderates who voted for him.” Wendy Long, Washington Times, Feb. 10, 2009

Remember you read ti here first.  These people are seeking to overturn decent morals and values for the right of an individual to do whatever they please as long as it does not injury anyone “they know”.    Remember my theme quote ” Liberalism seems to be related to the distance a person is from the problem” Whitney Young.

First I want to thank my staunch supporters and listeners for standing up for me to others.  I will assure you that I will continue to deliver the facts from “The Other Side”.  You know I will not entertain foolishness or voodoo intellect from guests or calllers.  Those of you that follow my show know that we encourage differing opinions on air, as long as they make common sense.   We are not talking high-level academic thesis, but a pragmatic observation of current and past issues.

Those of you that plead to hear the ignorant and malcontents, please skip my show, in a vernacular I hope you understand:  IT AIN’T HAPPENING !!  As I say, “Because you have the nerve to open you mouth, doesn’t mean you have anything intelligent to say!”  You can tune in to Tom Joyner, Steve Harvey, or all the other silly minstrel shows on the radio and television airwaves including D.L. Hughley.   I want listeners to be able to discern the facts from satire.  We need to keep the discussion real and on point.

All of the socialist messages need to curtailed by President Obama.  America is the land of the free and the home of the brave.  There will always be wealthy and poor people in America.  If he thinks for one minute he can make us all equal, he is more naive than I thought.  Today, he referenced people with more than one house to live in.  He has plenty of close friends with more than one home.  I am getting tired of his hypocritical socialist rant and I hope his wealthy (no tax paying) cabinet appointees and congressional millionaires that own multiple homes.

I have always said you can’t elect a poor man as president for reasons just like this.  The bridge between the have and have nots will continue to grow as long as politicians in Washington, D.C. allows the American Middle Class to be compromised by China, India, and Mexico.  The layoffs of over 1 million people in the last two weeks did not include Microsoft or Caterpillar employees working in China or India!

Everyday brings new revelations that the Bush administration did many things right on the terrorist front.  I just learned we can’t bring the troops home in 17 months.  Oh My Gosh!  This appears to be a grand lie to the American people.  But, I said all the time he could not keep the promises in reality and that he was just saying what people wanted to hear at the time.  Change and Hope!  I am all for it.

Best,  Charles
