Spring has finally sprung.

We started today’s show with Fox 32 News Meteorologist Amy Freeze. The conversation then turned to the decision on whether or non Ex-Chicago School Board President Paul Vallas will challenge Cook County Board President Todd Stroger for his seat in the next election. Our special guest was Paul Green, Director of the Institute for Politics at Roosevelt University.

In the 4’oclock hour when have a conversation with Terry Savage(savage@suntimes.com) We talked about the economy, personal finance and her 20th year of writing her column for the Chicago Sun Times. Next, we spoke with the new President of Chicago State University, Dr. Wayne Watson (waynedwatson.com)

We started today’s show with a discussion on changes that President Obama wants for credit card companies. Our guest was Montrice Yakimov from the Office of Thrift Supervision.

The conversation then turned to Black/Urban Radio versus Black owned radio in Chicago. Our special guest was Sun-Times columnist, Laura S. Washington (lauraswashington@chicagosun-times.com)

We then addressed the fear of a pandemic in regards to the swine flu. We talked about the plans that officials have devised to deal with the concerns of the public. We ended the program with a discussion on Peoples Gas and North Shore Gas’ launch of a grassroots campaign to ensure that customers take advantage of heating bill assistance. The grant program still has $50 million to assist people in paying energy bills.
