Perri left Chicago city government and relocated to Atlanta where she worked with the Atlanta Daily World newspaper and the APEX Museum as a media consultant. Feeling home sick, Perri returned to Chicago and was hired as a producer for WVON 1450am Drake Collier morning program. She was quickly promoted to Executive Producer and responsible for producing "On Target". She soon had her own show called "Small Talk". "I never thought I would have a career behind the mic, but I know I love it as much, if more, than writing," declares Perri.
The Matt and Perri show started on a much different note today. We first discussed the number two in command of Al Qaeda calling President Elect Barack Obama a “house negro”. Is this just a way to communicate to the rest of Al Qaeda forces that the United States is still the enemy, or was his message mis-translated?
Then we came more local and discussed the $6 billion budget that passed today. It’s mighty funny that all these alderman disagree with it, but only one voted against it. As a city, we should be tired of the government putting the burden on the back of the real working people of the city. We need to find a way to get this on the ballot so that the people that are really suffering from this budget can have a voice.
