After finishing my studies at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale I worked for WGCI Radio 1390AM “The Talk Station.” The station eventually changed formats and became Dusty Radio 1390. After a few years there I moved to New York were I worked for Metro Networks, Inc. I was a Traffic Reporter there on several station including, WBLS and WLIB. I also worked for WOR as a news writer and reporter.
The desire to be close to family and the city I loved brought me back to the Chi. I transferred to the Chicago division of Metro Networks Inc. There I was a News Anchor on WLS, a Writer (for their wire service Metro Source) and Traffic Reported for several affiliate stations including WVAZ, WLS, WBBM, WNUA (remember Smooth Jazz 95.5fm), WGN, One On One Sports, Indiana 105 and the Suntimes Information Line. After Metro I went on to DJ for 100.3FM for about seven years. Now I find myself at the station I listened to as a child. The station that meant so much to the community in which lived. The Historical WVON!
