Les Grobstein, Play-by-Play
Chicago native Les Grobstein has been broadcasting in his beloved hometown since December 1970. He did play-by-play for all three seasons of the WBL Chicago Hustle, and announced the first two WBL All-Star games. An avid sports enthusiast, Grobstein has covered twenty four Super Bowl games, twenty eight World Series, every MLB All-Star game since 1970 and even covered the 1996 Democratic National Convention. Grobstein did play-by-play for UIC Flames basketball and hockey for fourteen years (1982/3-1996/7) and has called more games in UIC Pavilion than any other broadcaster. He is currently the Chicago reporter for ABC Radio Sports and AP Radio.
Tauja Catchings, Color Analyst
Chicago native Tauja Catchings was drafted in the third round (37th overall) of the 2000 WNBA Draft by the Phoenix Mercury after an outstanding college career at University of Illinois. She attended Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, where she was named to the 1996 Nike/Parade All-American Team, and named the 1996-1997 Illinois High School Player of the Year by the Chicago Sun-Times and the Chicago-Tribune. Her father Harvey played 11 years in the NBA and her younger sister Tamika is a WNBA All-Star currently playing for the Indiana Fever. Catchings lives in Indianapolis with her 2-year-old son, and is Vice President of her sister's Catch the Stars Foundation.
