Only one radio station has chronicled the rich history of the Black Experience in Chicago.
WVON, The Voice of the Negro made its debut in April 1963. Decades later, those iconic call letters remain relevant, impactful and compelling as we continue to deliver cultural content on purpose. WVON is the essential storyteller within a vibrant community that remains Black and Proud.
